some scientists believe that carbon is necessary to have life. They argue that silicon* would not work because it is not as reactive. I have a theory that silicon hallogen* life would be just as plausible they form similar structured chemicals and the unreactiveness of silicon is made up by the reactiveness of hallogens. this is a very plausible form of life and it would be very interesting
